Endometriosis is a disease affecting mostly women of childbearing age. Global estimates suggest that 5 – 10% of women of reproductive age have the disease and this figure is believed to be on the rise. It tends to progress unless it is kept neglected and very much late to get diagnosed.

What happens in endometriosis is that cells that line the inside of the womb (endometrial cells) get deposited and take root in the pelvis, outside the uterus. So, the cells are growing in an abnormal site.

#donotacceptpain

Endometriosis has been a crucial type of disease that needs to be discussed among the general public and even provide more education for women to protect themselves.

Taking that as the responsibility, Burgundy supported the Endometriosis Society, Sri Lanka to create their digital presence.
We took a subtle approach that especially the Sri Lankan community could understand about this health and social issue. The delicate graphical/illustrative expression that depicts the #donotacceptpain concept had supported to discuss this serious matter.
Each expression has been illustrated creatively to give the exact meaning of the content that it contains. Even though Endometriosis has been represented in the colour yellow internationally, we thought of associating pink as it is the most common colour to symbolize womanhood in the Sri Lankan community.
