Department of Pensions is the government organization in Sri Lanka that is incorporated to have a Pensioners’ community highly satisfied in economic and social aspects by offering Legal benefits to pensioners of public services and their beneficiaries, ensuring satisfaction. The issue they were facing at the time was the process delays due to a lack of knowledge of pensioners in Sri Lanka on the pension process.

Challenge

Burgundy had to face the challenge of breaking the prevailing communicating system and educate the public on the process and procedures of the Department of Pensions.

As a result, we created the “Sri Lanka Pensions – Pension for all” guide book, which elaborates and educates pensioners in Sri Lanka on the procedures, formalities, and approaches to get the pension. Additionally, it finally proposed a newer pension fund strategy for the Sri Lankan government to support the Sri Lankan economy as well.

The design approach taken was innovative. With the theme Pension for All, the illustrations were designed to showcase each type of jobs that fall into the pensioner’s category both government and private sector.

Icons and graphics were created to express the vibrancy of people.

We enabled Social media, Facebook and Twitter to make it a forum for everyone to discuss and have healthy debates on their issues.

“Sri Lanka Pensions – Pension for all” guidebook has been recognized by the Sri Lankan government for being descriptive and easy to understand. Thousands of inquiries arrived from every corner of the island, requesting the book.
